Jimmy Paul

Trustee

Jimmy Paul is the Director of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance Scotland.

Before this, he was a consultant at the Centre for Excellence for Children’s Care and Protection (CELCIS) in Scotland. He was also a co-chair at Scotland’s Independent Care Review, the world’s first root and branch review of a care system, leading the workforce work group and generating ambitious conclusions for the future of children in Scotland. Before this, Jimmy worked in leadership roles across health and social care.

Jimmy has also been a trustee of several charities, all of which focus on driving change for people with experience of care. He also sits on the UK Future Generations Commission. He is a trained executive coach and has been recognised for his values-based leadership internationally, both with the British Council and the World Economic Forum.

As well as the above, Jimmy has lived experience of care, including in a residential institution in England. He supports and promotes the meaningful participation of those with lived experience and a ‘nothing about us, without us’ approach.
