'From the Wizarding Archive' announced, proceeds to support Lumos

Pottermore to publish From the Wizarding Archive: a curated collection of articles and anecdotes written by J.K. Rowling and available on, with an original foreword by Lumos Ambassador, Evanna Lynch. All author royalties will be donated by Pottermore Publishing to Lumos Foundation on behalf of J.K. Rowling.

Pottermore Publishing today announced that it will publish on 29th August 2024 a curated selection of 80 articles and anecdotes about the world of Harry Potter, originally written by J.K. Rowling for and now hosted for free on

From the Wizarding Archive is available to pre-order now in English in eBook and digital audiobook formats. Framed by Pottermore Publishing-authored editorial, readers and listeners will be able to explore these well-loved articles in greater depth than ever before, as well as to enjoy an exclusive foreword written and narrated by Harry Potter film actor Evanna Lynch.This is the first time that the content will be available in audio, exclusively on Audible.

The thematically curated writing, authoritative and witty linking passages and heartfelt foreword from self-confessed superfan Evanna Lynch (who played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films), offer fans a sparkling insight into the lore and back-story of Harry’s world and allows them to discover even more about the characters and settings of the stories.

From the Wizarding Archive will be published as both a single-volume audiobook and a two-volume eBook. Volume One of the eBook will contain 45 articles curated together for the first time, with Volume Two containing the 35 articles that were previously published in 2016 as the ‘Pottermore Presents’ series of three eBooks. Fans will also be able to purchase both Volume One and Two together in a combined edition.

Following the English language launch, the German, French, Italian and Spanish eBooks and audiobooks will be published in November with further languages anticipated in due course. The Pottermore Presents eBooks will be removed from sale at the end of July and replaced with From the Wizarding Archive.

The main narration has been performed by Evanna Lynch, with Hugh Quarshie, Finlay Robertson and Lara Sawalha reading J.K. Rowling’s original articles, all of which will be delivered alongside enchanting sound design and original music.
