In November and December we ran our first-ever crowd funder, and supporters from around the world responded with gusto!
The Home for the Holidays Appeal featured some of our amazing Youth Advocates, beneficiaries and staff, who recorded videos and shared their experience of care reform with Lumos.
You may remember Igor and his energetic young sons in Ukraine, for example, or Marcela in Colombia who was so happy to be back home with her family for the holiday season and beyond.
The stories of hope and transformation were coupled with a generous offer of match funding from one of our key supporters, which really helped the campaign to soar!
In total, including match funding and Gift Aid, the campaign raised a fantastic £154,075! Thank you so much!
The crowd funder went live online on 10 th December, and it was brilliant to see the donations and messages of support all in one place.
