Lumos putting children at the forefront of Care Reform in Colombia

Lumos is making strides in strengthening child participation in Colombia. Our workshops are designed to prepare and empower young people to influence care reform. But why is this important and how do our workshops help?

Developmental skills

In collaboration with several organisations and experts, we have designed workshops that not only strengthen integral developmental skills, but also promote the emotional, social, and cognitive well-being of Colombian children.

Self-care and Empowerment

A key aspect of our programs is the promotion of self-care. Through practical and reflective activities, participants learn to identify and prioritize their well-being. This is essential for children to become active agents of change in their own lives and communities.

Active participation

Lumos is committed to ensuring that young voices are heard and respected at all levels. The Youth Advisory Board provides young people with a platform to express their opinions. Contributing to the design of policies and programs that affect their lives.

Results

We seek to train a generation of leaders capable of influencing care reform in Colombia. By empowering children to be advocates for their rights and needs, we can build a system of care that is focused on child well-being.
