Children belong in families,
not orphanages

Trustee and Honorary Treasurer

"Since my appointment as a Trustee of Lumos I have begun to fully grasp the scale of the disturbing plight faced by millions of children separated from their families and placed in institutions and so-called orphanages. I have been delighted to learn about Lumos’ outstanding achievements and its vital continuing work in helping governments transform the lives of so many children. I have also been deeply impressed with the caring, passionate approach and philosophy of the executives, staff and fellow Trustees as well as their professionalism."

After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1987, Mark worked as a corporate finance adviser at Charterhouse Bank for seven years. Following this he spent 19 years managing substantial global investment funds at Gruss Asset Management, where he was joint Chief investment Officer and managing partner.
