Ivan's story: my childhood at Rudnik

"Nothing was good about that place."

This is how Ivan describes Rudnik, a state institution in Bulgaria where he spent his childhood. It housed 35 children with disabilities and was described by Ilia Lliev, Head of Social Services as a depressing place, where children were confined to their rooms with no toys or personal belongings.

In this short film Ivan recalls his time spent at the institution and explains why, thanks to Lumos, he is looking forwards to a brighter future.
